BIOFEEDBACK THERAPISTS
Pelvic floor biofeedback therapy can teach women with pelvic organ prolapse how to strengthen and relax their pc muscle in order to improve bladder control and decrease pelvic pain. Biofeedback measures movements of the pelvic floor structure; this therapy enables women to recognize pc muscle sensations so they can learn to better utilize their pelvic floor muscle.
Familiarity with pelvic floor muscle sensations help women recognize and decrease sudden urge to urinate, decrease incontinence, and lessen certain types of pelvic pain. An important part of pelvic floor biofeedback therapy is consistent exercise of the pelvic muscles at home; biofeedback therapy can help teach proper pelvic muscle exercise.
